Karen’s reinsurance experience includes claims management and conducting inspections for both domestic and London market companies. She has conducted audits and inspections of various Third-Party Administrators and ceding companies across the US and in London. Karen joined Cranmore in 2021 where she has been involved with various ADC contracts and continues to conduct audits and inspections on legacy and live portfolios.

Robert Redpath

Robert joined Enstar in 2011 and then Cranmore in 2025. He is a member of the Enstar US Executive Management Team. He started his career in the Insurance Litigation department of Lawrence Graham solicitors in London in 1990, before moving to Hannover Re in Hannover, Germany to work in reinsurance claims and legal, dealing with complex reinsurance claim and legal disputes. Following the acquisition of Clarendon by Hannover Re, he was transferred to New York to manage reinsurance and corporate litigation. In 2006 he was appointed General Counsel of Clarendon and had a key role in the management of the run-off of Clarendon until its acquisition by Enstar in 2011. At Enstar, he managed the US corporate legal department. He works with US regulators to promote Insurance Business Transfer (IBT) statutes in the US, having successfully managed a number of IBTs to completion. His current areas of responsibility include regulatory relations and insurance matters, with expertise in complex (re)insurance claim and contract matters as well as insurance restructuring.

Robert is licensed as an attorney to practice in New York and is also qualified in England and Wales as a non-practicing solicitor. He received his law degree from University College London, a diploma in business studies from the London School of Economics and a master’s in German law from the University of Mainz in Germany.

Mackenzie Morey

After working on the claims side of the business for a few years, she was drawn to an administrative role within Cranmore.

Mackenzie is responsible for billing, administrative tasks, as well as assisting the CEO, Steve Norrington. Mackenzie enjoys learning different parts of the business and facilitating activities for her fellow employees. In recent years, she has undertaken administration of the St. Petersburg office and supports several senior managers.

Jeff F Johnson

Jeff received his B.A from Northwestern University, his M.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. Jeff is a member of the Illinois Bar, completed a Diploma Program in Human Resource Management from New York University School of Continuing Education, and holds the CPCU and ARM professional insurance designations.

Jeff’s key previous positions include Vice President, Claims-Legal, for the US branch of Zurich Insurance Company, during which he led staff counsel, panel counsel and the litigation management function. Jeff subsequently worked for AIG, during which he negotiated high profile claims involving multiple member companies, formed and led a specialised construction claims division and successfully marketed it to attract the Boston Tunnel Project, and served as Senior Vice President in Toxic Tort Claims, Asbestos Claims and Reinsurance Claims. Jeff also served as the Global Chief Claims Officer for Starr Companies requiring management and oversight of several hundred employees handling claims from multiple lines of business and locations.

Jeff joined Cranmore US in 2018 as an employee consulting in a number of areas for Cranmore, as well as for external clients and business partners.

James Pruitt

James has held a variety of key leadership positions with several carriers as a TPA Manager, Claim Manager, Associate Director, Subrogation Manager (Auto, Property, and Worker Comp), Salvage Manager, Property Manager, Auto Physical Damage Manager, Litigation Manager, Operation Project Leader, Compliance Administrator, Method Analysis, and Claim System Champion. During James’ time at CNA Insurance Company, he initiated a task base recovery process to improve recovery cycle time which resulted in $17,575,000 Net Auto Recoveries and $29,500,000 Net Property Recoveries with a 22.4% decrease in new referrals. Since arriving at Cranmore, James has made a significant contribution to the Subrogation and Recovery Team in the form of recoveries, process improvements, and partnerships with internal and external customers. In additional, James has conducted a number of audits both inside and outside of the company.

James commenced work in health insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee as a Method Analyst before moving to Atlanta to start his career in the Property & Casualty industry at Progressive Insurance in claims. Following his time at Progressive, James worked for other carriers, such as Reliance Insurance Company, CNA Insurance Company, and Nationwide Insurance Company. James was Senior Claim Specialist with Companion P&C prior to joining Cranmore in 2015. A licensed adjuster in several states. James has a Georgia Agent license and a Senior Claim Law Associate professional designation from The American Educational Institute. James has a bachelor’s degree in Management and Insurance from Morehouse College and Master of Science and Administration from Central Michigan University.

Paul Amirata

Paul is currently a Senior Vice President at Cranmore and is primarily responsible for managing the Construction Defect exposures for Enstar. Prior to working at Enstar, Paul was the Head of US Claims at AXA Insurance Company, and before this, was overseeing Construction Defect claims at RiverStone Claims Management.

Kent Shinners

Kent has been involved in special projects related to the reinsurance industry since 1986, and has been conducting audits and inspections, as well as litigation support work, for clients since 1987. He has led and assisted inspection teams throughout the US, in addition to conducting Binding Authority and Third-Party Administrator/Managing General Agent reviews. He has managed special projects encompassing the billing and collection of ceded recoverables. He oversees the reporting and settlement of various complex ADC contracts. He continues to provide similar accounting, auditing, and financial management solutions for Cranmore.

Kent’s first insurance and reinsurance industry experience was when he joined Mutual of Omaha in 1983. He entered independent consultancy in 1992 and has continued consulting with various clients since that time. Kent joined Cranmore in October 2011.

Joe Adamczyk

Joe commenced work in direct claims with The Hartford Insurance Company before moving to Crum and Forster in NYC and then Fireman’s Fund, where he worked in New Jersey, Novato, California, and Chicago. In 1997, he entered the reinsurance field with GE Reinsurance. He joined CNA in 2005 and entered the consultancy field when he joined Cranmore in 2010.

Mike Jonescu

Prior to joining Cranmore, Mike developed and managed SeaBright Insurance Company’s national subrogation recovery programme, resulting in a 900% improvement in subrogation recoveries.

Prior to his employment with SeaBright, Mike was a practicing litigation attorney with both outside firms and in a staff counsel capacity. He also oversaw and managed the subrogation departments for several of these offices.

A licensed California attorney since April 1989. Mike was Vice President Managing Counsel for SeaBright Insurance Company prior to joining Cranmore in 2013. Prior to 2007, Mike worked for Kemper Insurance’s litigation office and several outside firms as both a trial and managing attorney.

Chase Young

Chase has been the lead technical claims executive for a $6B claims portfolio as well as provided executive management for nationwide claims’ shared service functions (litigation management, subrogation and deductible recovery, SIU, QA, and data and analytics). In addition, Chase has significant experience in underwriting services including fronting management, structured reinsurance, and ILS advisory services for clients.

Chase joined Cranmore after receiving his bachelor’s degree in economics (magna cum laude) from the University of South Florida in 2010. Chase has also achieved the CPCU designation. His initial focus within the Group was on reinsurance audits, then focusing on M&A, before moving into executive roles in claims and underwriting, while also managing Cranmore’s consulting projects.
