Vice President, Claims & Subrogation

Mike Jonescu is a licensed attorney with over 30 years’ experience in the legal and insurance industry. Mike specializes in subrogation and collections both within the US and internationally in a number of areas including Large Loss Commercial and Residential Subrogation, Workers Compensation Subrogation, Fidelity Subrogation and Auto Subrogation, as well as collections related to contribution, deductibles, premium, salvage, bankruptcy, SIU, second injury fund, and unclaimed funds. He has also worked in a number of insurance defense areas as well as in litigation management.

Prior to joining Cranmore, Mike developed and managed SeaBright Insurance Company's national subrogation recovery program, resulting in a 900% improvement in subrogation recoveries from the start of the program. Prior to his employment with SeaBright, Mike was a practicing litigation attorney with both outside firms and in a staff counsel capacity. He also oversaw and managed the subrogation departments for several of these offices.

Job Summary

A licensed California attorney since April 1989. Vice President Managing Counsel for SeaBright Insurance Company prior to joining Cranmore in 2013. Prior to 2007, Mike worked for Kemper Insurance’s litigation office and several outside firms as both a trial and managing attorney.
