Paul Watkin commenced working in the Insurance and Reinsurance industry in 1980, and has over 35 years continuous experience in these fields. Paul's previous experience is from London based Brokers supporting the Lloyd's and European Company Underwriting markets.

Having joined Cranmore in 2011 direct from Aon Risk Solutions in London, Paul had spent 14 years at Aon based in London where he was a Client Service Leader of one of the Teams within the North American Property Division working on large North American Property accounts and also Binding Authorities. Paul's last role at Aon was as the Operations Director of the Construction Division where, reporting directly to the Managing Director, he was responsible for the day-to-day running of the Construction Division, specifically in relation to all Financial Services Authority (FSA) and internal compliance requirements. He also had specific responsibility for reducing the bad debt, uncollected brokerage and uncollected cash in respect of the Construction Division, and was also responsible for ensuring Quality Control and managing 'Outsourced' relationships and tasks. Paul now specializes in Delegated Authority, Quality Control and maximization of systems/operations efficiencies in day to day work environments.

Job Summary

Commenced work for C.E. Heath in 1980 handling North American Treaties before being promoted to Manager of the Construction Team. Paul then moved to Nelson Hurst Insurance Brokers in 1988 where he was responsible for all the 'post placement' activities of the International Division. In 1998, he joined Aon Risk Solutions to take on a similar role in the International Division.
