Leigh Fanner

Leigh Fanner has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, having commenced his career in 1981 as a Claims Examiner handling direct, facultative and treaty cases in the UK.

This was followed by a move into the strategic run-off arena, where Leigh managed several teams in both the company and consultancy environments, developing a track record of accelerating and assisting in the closure of reinsurance portfolios through successful inspection and commutation programs and managerial involvement in multiple Schemes of Arrangement. Leigh moved to the US in 2006, continuing his inspection and consultancy work - managing clients' exposures through inspections, claims management, commutations, and cedant and coverholder audits.

As a result, Leigh has extensive experience in auditing clients' insurance and reinsurance programs and conducting coverholder reviews in the UK, Bermuda and the US over the course of 25 years.

Job Summary

Commenced work at the North Atlantic Group in 1981. From 1991, he worked for an independent actuarial firm for three years, and subsequently, for a London based consulting firm specializing in inspection of records for a further three years. In 1998, Leigh joined Swiss Re UK working on Mercantile and General before joining Pro Insurance Solutions Limited in 2000. In 2006, he moved to the US as a pivotal part of the management team establishing Pro's US operation. Leigh joined Cranmore (US) in September 2013, operating out of the New York City office where his responsibilities include representing Cranmore’s third party clients in conducting Coverholder and TPA audits; conducting inspection of records on behalf of Enstar clients; and participating in due diligence reviews in regard to prospective acquisitions.
